These camshafts use COMP\'s new XTQ intake profiles with the XTX exhaust profiles for more area under the curve that most good .875\" lifter designs, while still allowing standard .842\" lifters. The COM-12-653-5 & COM-12-657-5 are best on 1/4 to 3/8 mile tracks. The COM-12-658-5 is best on 3/8 to 1/2 mile tracks. Best in 360+ ci 12:1 motors with 4 bbl and good intake and exhaust. The COM-12-653-5 is best with 327-358 ci 11:1 motors with a 2 bbl a good intake and exhaust. The COM-12-657-5 is best with 327-358 ci 12:1 motors with a 4 bbl a good intake and exhaust. Uses the COM-950-16 valve springs.
