Our 10.5 inch diameter assembly utilizes a billet aluminum pressure ring with a riveted steel heat shield that provides a durable mating surface for the clutch disc. A 3000 lb. pressure spring provides increased static pressure over stock clutches. RAM offers a lightweight 17 pound billet steel flywheel for Chevrolet that matches the above components. If you are required to use all steel components, This unit uses the same heavier pressure spring for increased holding power.

90 Series components are used in all ‘Assault Weapon’ clutches utilizing the ‘bonded pad’ discs. New 90 and older 70 series discs do not interchange!

The bearing base mounts to the front of the transmission using the provided bolts. RAM hydraulic bearings require a 3/4 or 7/8 inch master cylinder and the -4 AN connection line .500” total travel.

 The RAM Coupler is a compact, lightweight clutch system featuring splined lock-up engagement. The cone clutch provides the initial engagement to get the vehicle moving when the clutch pedal is depressed. Positive lock-up is achieved when the pedal is released and the splined cone engages the splined top plate. The RAM Coupler is just five pounds and 4-3/4 inches in diameter - about the size of the crank flange itself! RAM recommends that the coupler be used in vehicles under 2600 pounds, or with adequate low gearing to avoid overloading the cone clutch.

Premium quality non-asbestos facing material is bonded to a steel backing for better heat dissipation and greater rotational strength than standard facings. The 300M series discs utilize a marcel carrier to better absorb engagement shock and chatter in street and strip applications. 300 Series race discs use a flat carrier for quicker, cleaner disengagement and shifting, but will be more aggressive engaging when used in street applications.
