Everything in this piece is brand new (NOT remanufactured) from the cap to the gear. Compared to the street/strip version, the race-only unit produces 42% more energy in the coil with 46% faster spark breakdown time allowing 48% more peak current to reach the spark plug. This abundant energy doubles the spark
intensity during the critical one millisecond of burn time. A specially designed vacuum lockout mechanism prevents timing adjustments that change rotor phasing, adversely affecting the burn time and efficient fuel combustion. Rotor plates are TIG welded to the mechanical advance mechanism preventing high RPM distortion improving mechanical reliability. Each distributor uses a new aluminum housing cast and machined from a strong but lightweight A384 alloy and are supplied with a high dielectric strength cap with solid brass terminals, a balanced rotor and low
resistance center coil brush, nylon rotor hold-down screws and a factory installed high performance mechanical curve kit with precision machined weights and center plate. A hardened
machined steel gear is standard.

This digitally controlled micro controller based unit provides much greater accuracy (+/-0.01%) than analog systems. Digital rotary switches permit easy setting and a resolution of 100 RPMs
for more accurate rev control eliminating the need for chips and jumpers. Random spark stealing starts within one spark at the moment when the rev limit is exceeded reducing plug fouling
common with repetitive stealing type limiters. Flame-Thrower rev limiters come with special filters preventing false triggering from coil (-) voltage noise and a tachometer output compatible
with modern tachometers. With reverse voltage protection, their limiter works well over a wide voltage range (6 to 18 volts).

Kit includes race module and coil combination, premium rotor and cap, custom Flame-Thrower coil cover, vacuum advance lockout, performance advance curve, wire harness and capacitor, and complete installation hardware.
Does not inlcude the rotor bushing.

Flame-Thrower "Race Only" coil produces 42% more energy than the street/strip version, and has a 46% faster spark breakdown time. This coil must be used with the "Race Only" module, and is not suited for street applications. 50,000 volt, 0.35 Ohm.

The new HV (high voltage) E-core design yields an incredible 60,000 volts and operates with no degradation throughout temperature ranges that surpass military specifications. The special heat sink design made from aircraft 6063 T5 aluminum efficiently transfers heat optimizing energy output for street/strip and off road applications. Flame-Thrower HV .046 ohm.

The Flame-Thrower module develops 67% more energy than an OEM module and when teamed with the Flame-Thrower high performance coil operates misfire free up to a minimum of 7500 RPM. Flame-Thrower \"Race Only\" modules are engineered to handle the extreme conditions a racing environment puts on the ignition system.

Caps and rotors are made from hi performance 60 KV rated alkyd molding compound for superior protection from "arc-thru" and crossfire.
Attention to detail includes nylon rotor hold
down screws. Available in three colors. Red, Blue and Black.

Precision machined chromoly weights and center plate eliminate erratic timing. Three sets of springs and complete installation instructions make recurving your distributor easy.
